      PVC Processing

When it comes to PVC dry blend preparation, LVT or plastisol production, the main thing these batching systems require is flexibility. To keep up with the fast-changing consumer market for PVC-based products, manufacturers must be equally nimble to modify their plants, both in engineering and in production terms. J-Tec assures this capability. Our vast experience in designing and building plastisol, WPC and LVT installations worldwide ensures a state-of-the-art, reliable and long-lasting solution for processing your raw materials, additives and regrinds to homogenous blends.

    2. PVC-U infraroodlassen met nieuwe IR-63 M lasmachine

      PVC-U infraroodlassen met nieuwe IR-63 M lasmachine

GF Piping Systems has introduced the successor to the IR-63 Plus infrared welding machine – the IR-63 M. The new machine retains the familiar technology, but integrates new hardware and software features for faster, easier and more efficient welding of various plastic piping systems. The IR-63 infrared welding machines offer the unique ability to weld PVC-U, which offers major advantages over gluing, which until recently was the only possible joining method for PVC-U. Why IR welding of PVC-U is revolutionary IR welding of PVC-U is a technological breakthrough. Adhesive bonding limits the applications of PVC-U, due to the limited chemical resistance of the adhesive, which made the material unsuitable for applications with aggressive media such as concentrated nitric acid. The IR-63 M welding machine uses non-contact infrared radiation to create a completely homogeneous connection, without solvents or risk of contamination, unlike adhesives. These strong joints have a minimal weld bead, which ensures optimum flow in the welding zone. In addition, welding errors are virtually eliminated thanks to the fully controlled welding process. Each weld is documented with a welding protocol, which enables maximum traceability and quality control. The IR-63 M is faster, easier to use and more efficient The IR-63 M welding machine is designed to significantly improve installation processes. Thanks to advanced hardware and software functions, the machine offers numerous advantages. For example, the new machine can save up to 20% on preparation time, partly due to the possibility of adjusting individual milling lengths per side. In addition, the welding process is carried out in 30% fewer steps and the cooling times are up to 50% shorter than with the previous generation of machines. This allows installers to work much faster and reduces the total project costs.

    3. Q-Ball® E

      Q-Ball® E

In addition to the requirement that neither flames nor pressure escape from the protective system, flameless venting devices should also be evaluated in terms of their relief effectiveness and weight. Because: Low efficiencies mean that more relief openings and associated protective systems are required. A too heavy weight requires conversions to the container in order to ensure its stability. The Q-Ball® E has been specifically designed for the protection of mechanical conveyors, which usually have long and sleek geometries. Based on the contour-parallel venting (CPV) invented by REMBE®, the innovative design has resulted in a low weight of the Q-Ball® E while also have a higher effectivity. While comparable products from other suppliers weigh between 100-200 kg, the Q-Ball® E is an absolute lightweight with just 25-50 kg. This particularly facilitates the handling during assembly, as well as the requirements for the installation on the systems.

    4. Q-Bic™

      Q-Bic™

Plant components like silos, mills, filters, collectors, mixers or dryers, in which bulks are processed, conveyed or stored are hazardous areas where fine dust can be found in quantities. Explosion solutions are required when ignition sources cannot be reliably prevented. With use of the Q-Bic™ safety suppression system, the starting explosion is instantly detected by the redundant related detectors and the prompt blowing of dry powder within the endangered area extinguishes the flame. The explosion is extinguished at the point of ignition and cannot be discharged to the outside atmosphere. Q-Bic™ is especially suitable for applications with toxicants, which must not be released in case of explosion.

    5. Q-Flap RX™

      Q-Flap RX™

Isolation is a decisive component of an Explosion Safety concept. No matter how much operators invest into (flameless) relief - if an isolation is missing, an explosion can spread within the system, and continue to propagate from facility section to facility section. In the worst case, the blast wave will overtake the flames, and the explosion will turn into a detonation. If a sensible isolation is part of the system protection strategy, then there's no reason to worry about such horror scenarios any longer. The Q-Flap RX™ explosion isolation flap valve is a joint development between REMBE® and the Swiss company RICO. "A combination of German engineering and Swiss precision", that's how Dr.-Ing. Johannes Lottermann, Director for Explosion Safety at REMBE® describes the new product. The strict requirements of EN 16447 for the maximum safety and reliability are particularly achieved by the very high strength and extremely flexible installation distances - and all of this thanks to the patented swivel carriage principle. The Q-Flap RX™ is available for all common nominal pipe sizes up to DN 1250.
