
Q-Rohr Flameless Venting - The Original
Stay Qool – REMBE Q-Rohr Innovation is a tradition at REMBE. In the area of explosion safety, the invention of flameless venting solutions – the Q-Rohr and Q-Box – is probably the most important in the history of the company. We have continuously developed and improved these products since the 1980s and they are now in use worldwide. The Q-Rohr and Q-Box can be found in a whole range of sectors from the food processing industry to chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The advantages of flameless venting are immediately obvious: the entire production process remains inside the building and there is no need for expensive, bulky venting ducts that require modifications to be made to existing structures. The integrated explosion vent is fitted with a signalling unit that immediately reports any incidents to the process control system. The special stainless steel mesh filter inlet ensures that the pressure rise and increased noise level associated with free vented explosions are massively reduced to negligible levels in the production room. Dust and flames are retained by the mesh filter inlet. The Q-Rohr has a round design. Consequently, it is vacuum resistant and ideal for the protection of pneumatic conveying systems as well as many other applications. The Q-Rohr and Q-Box also compare favourably with active fire extinguishing systems. They generate no running costs, false triggering damages only the bursting disc and the product remains unaffected. No regular maintenance is required, an annual visual inspection is more than adequate. The products are certified by ATEX and also comply with many other currently relevant standards. New: The Q-Rohr can now also be used with metal dusts. Due to their extreme properties in explosive situations (e.g. temperatures can be twice as high as those with most other dusts), metal dusts create special challenges for protection systems. The Q-Rohr is the first system to be certified in accordance with DIN EN 16009.
Q-Rohr-3
The Q-Rohr-3 system is the only indoor explosion device that meets the NFPA codes and is approved in accordance with EU regulations (ATEX). It consists of an integrated REMBE bursting disc which vents the explosion wave in a controlled manner within the Q-Rohr-3 assembly. Flame gases with temperatures higher than 500° C (2,732° F) are cooled down to less than 90° C (195° F) via energy transfer within the specially developed stainless steel mesh filter inlet. This reduces the expanding gas volume as it extinguishes the flame. Dust retention is guaranteed by the mesh filter ensuring that no burnt or unburnt dust particles pass through the Q-Rohr-3 assembly. Additionally, the pressure rise and increased noise level associated with free vented explosions are massively reduced to negligible levels. After an explosion event the Q-Rohr-3 is reusable immediately after cleaning and replacement of the REMBE bursting disc assembly

Quick connect Flexible Connections
As an extension of the customised flexible connection range, we offer Quick Connect sleeves that are distinguished by their coupling, which may be: Triclamp, Jacob, Steri valve, hygienic screwed pipe connection or permanently welded DIN flanges. The flexible connections are air-tight, dust-tight, leak free, and the small number of corners and edges make the flexible connection hygienic and easier to clean CIP. The replacement or fitting of the flexible connection is easier and faster due to the correct shape and the action of the clamping rings. You can also select tool-release or Bolt-connect clamp rings. This limits the risks, lengthens the life span and simplifies assembly.

R-OP Robotic operator
R-OP is a standalone stainless-steel robot specially developed for the food industry. Labor is becoming more and more expensive, and it is not always easy to find good employees. R-OP offers the solution. R-OP is designed to be easily placed by a production line and can perform various kinds of repetitive operations. Redesign rotary valve for Aquafeed
New standard in Aquafeed TBMA have redesigned their H-GRD blowing seal, dedicated to handling fish feed on feed barges for open sea fish farming. Barge builders have to deal with specific requirements for the feeding systems, such as limited space and an isolated, salty environment. So, how could we help them with a smart solution valve? The H-GRD of itself already is a robust and reliable valve that offers efficient dosing. Most important for aquafeed, its gentle handling causes minimal damage to the fish feed and therefore minimal water pollution. As a result, the ROI of the valve is very favourable. For the redesign, we mounted a direct in-line drive and consequently reduced the number of parts. As a result, maintenance is even easier than before and less spare parts are required. Moreover, the valve has a smaller installation size. Triple advantage! We are excited that our customers have enthusiastically welcomed the new design: the valves have already been used on the largest barge built so far. The upgraded H-GRD will be on display at Solids Rotterdam (stand G05 | 1-2 October | Rotterdam (NL)).

Resistance thermometer, model TR22-A
The model TR22-A resistance thermometer is used for temperature measurement in sanitary applications. The process connections meet the stringent requirements, in terms of materials and design, of hygienic measuring locations. With increased hygienic requirements for the ambient areas around the measuring location, a stainless steel head is available in an optimised hygienic design. This enables easy cleaning of the measuring instrument, particularly for splash zones in food production. Due to the rotatable threaded connection to the connection head, it is possible to loosen the connection head and to adjust it in the desired position. The connection head can be removed together with the measuring insert. This allows the resistance thermometer to be calibrated along with the whole measuring chain, i.e. without disconnecting the electrical connections. In addition, this avoids having to open the process, and thus the risk of contamination is minimised. The spring-loaded measuring insert guarantees the contact between the sensor tip and the bottom of the protection tube and thus ensures a fast response time and high accuracy. The welded junction between the protection tube and the flange makes the use of a sealing as additional material in those areas redundant which are in contact with the product.
