One of the most common techniques used to transport bulk goods is pneumatics. Using air or gas, the product is transported with high precision and hygiene. Pneumatic transport offers several options. Bulk goods can be transported with negative or positive pressure, you can transport the goods by dilute-phase transport or dense-phase transport, and you can choose gas or air.

Operating description: The application of a polyurethane coating. The polyurethane in question goes by the name of Kobaflex V80. Kobaflex V80 is a polyurethane which belongs to the group of elastomers. This means that the material retains its flexibility and is able to withstand abrasion caused by friction. It also possesses a high degree of elasticity. Kobaflex V80 exhibits a hardness of 80° Shore A. General: Kobaflex is applied by means of a spray application which ensures a smooth and even coating. The parts must first be sandblasted (sandblasting standard: SA 2½, Coarseness: Rz > 60μm, Ra > 10μm) after which a special primer is applied. The primer helps prevent corrosion and remains stable up to 65°C in wet conditions and up to 80°C in dry conditions.

The model IS-3 intrinsically safe pressure sensor has been designed for gas hazardous areas (EPL Ga) and can also be used with combustible dusts (EPL Da) and in mines susceptible to firedamp (EPL Ma). The model IS-3 is suitable for pressure ranges up to 6,000 bar [87,000 psi] and medium temperatures up to 200 °C [392 °F]. It features numerous approvals, such as ATEX, IECEx, FM and CSA. Due to use of hydrogen, extremely low-temperature measurement during transport and storage is gaining an ever-greater relevance. For this application, with the CryoTemp design,WIKA provides the most suitable option for all relevant temperature measuring instruments. In laboratory trials, resistance thermometers (Pt1000) and thermocouples (type E) were tested for their suitability in cryogenic applications. The special design of the CryoTemp features a high accuracy of +/− 3 Kelvin at minus 253 °C.

The model UPT-2x process transmitter has been developed for applications which require an intelligent sensor. Particularly the integrated temperature compensation makes the process transmitter interesting for a wide range of applications. The measuring cell is made of stainless steel 316L or of a combination with high-quality Elgiloy®. For specific requirements, further special materials are available. The case is rotatable by 330° and the LC display can be mounted in different positions, displaceable in 90° steps.
